Corrine Frances (Mathieu) Flanagan passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence, RI. She was a loving mother of eight and one adopted son. She passed away at the age of ninety-four, born August 31, 1930 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Parents were the late Solyme Peter and Josephine (Lamoreux) Mathieu. Married to Francis J. Flanagan who preceded her in death in 1995.

She was a dedicated mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother first and foremost. She treasured her 8 children, 2 son-in-laws and 2 daughter-in-laws, 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She embraced every moment with them.

She was a dedicated and hard worker in the food industry until the age of 82. Her favorite hobby was shopping. She enjoyed lunch and dinner dates with her children and grandchildren. She was the center of attention. She also enjoyed the spa treatments she received at Linn Health & Rehabilitation Assisted Living from the wonderful staff that became her great friends.

Mother of Judith Dumont and her husband Roland of Pawtucket, RI, Frances Flanagan and Debbra Flanagan Gardner of Pawtucket,RI, Susan Lima and her husband John of Rehoboth, MA, Joseph Flanagan and his wife Sandra of Lincoln, RI, John Flanagan and his wife Lori of Cumberland, RI, Kevin Flanagan of Cumberland, RI and Keith Flanagan of Pawtucket, RI. Along with Richard Anderson whom she calls her fifth son.

Siblings preceded her in death Beatrice Leary, Raymond Matthieu, Anna Teklinsky and George Matthieu. She also leaves many nephews and nieces.

She touched the hearts of so many people and will be forever missed. Life won’t be the same without her, but life will be better because of her.

Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4pm-7pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln. Her funeral will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 from the Keefe Funeral Home starting at 8:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish Church, 195 Walcott St. Pawtucket at 10:30am. Burial will follow in The Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter RI. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Beacon Hospice.
